Lace originally started the Rat Fink line as a tribute to Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and planned to have a different design each year but sales were not good enough to continue the line after the first design. The guitars came in a choice of three colors: black, white and grey. There was a bass available, also. Named: "Bubba Rat"
